Taco Soup
I got this recipe from Beth Kelley. I started making it in 2005. |
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. gorund hamburger or ground turkey breast
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 - 16 oz. can kidney beans*
- 1 - 16 oz. can pinto beans*
- 1 -16 oz. can corn
- 1 small can green chilies
- 1 can of tomato sauce
- 1 large can diced tomatoes
- 1 package ranch dressing
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups water (add more, if needed)
*Green beans may be substituted.
Directions:
- Brown hamburger and onion; drain fat.
- Add packages of dry taco seasoning mix and ranch dressing.
- Drain kidney beans, pinto beans and corn: add to mixture.
- Add can of green chilies, tomatoes, tomato sauce and water.
- Cook for 20 minutes.
- Serve with tortilla chips, cheese and sour cream.
