Baking Soda as Silver Polish

It is amazing how well this works.

Ingredients:

¼ cup baking soda
a few teaspoons salt
1 quart boiling water

Directions:

Place aluminum foil in the bottom of a pot
Place silver pieces on foil
Add soda and salt
Pour boiling water over items
Cover for a few seconds
A chemical reaction that gets the black off the silver pieces
