Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce

Ingredients
1/2 stick butter
6 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
2 TBSP vanilla extract
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 TBSP ground cinnamon
1 (1 lb) loaf bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 cup raisins
Optional: 1 small can crushed pineapple drained
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 ° F
In a medium bowl, whip together eggs and sugar.
Add milk, cream, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Mix until smooth.
Melt butter in 13" x 9"baking dish.
Place bread cubes on top of butter
Sprinkle raisins over bread cubes.
Pour egg/milk mixture over raisons.
Place in refrigerator to allow the bread to become saturated with the egg/milk mixture.
Bake 1 hour or until lightly browned.
Whiskey Sauce
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup whiskey
Directions
Mix sugar, butter and corn syrup in a medium saucepan over low heat.
