Chocolate Chex Mix
Ingredients:
- 8 cups Chocolate Chex® cereal
- Carmel Sauce
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup mini size Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup caramel bits
- 1 Tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coarse sea salt
Directions:
- Into large microwavable bowl, measure cereal; set aside
- Line cookie sheet with waxed paper.
- Microwave brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in a 2 cup measuring cup for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until melted.
- Stir in baking soda.
- Pour caramel mixture over cereal and stir.
- Microwave 3 minutes, stirring every minute.
- Spread on cookie sheet and cool.
- Sprinkle Peanut Butter Cups and marshmallows over Chex mixture.
- Microwave caramel baking bits and cream 1 minute or until melted. Drizzle over Chex mixture.
- Microwave the milk chocolate chips, 30 seconds and stir; repeat until melted. Drizzle over Chex mixture.
- Microwave the white chocolate chips, 30 seconds and stir; repeat until melted. Drizzle over Chex mixture.
- Quickly sprinkle coarse salt over all while candy drizzles are still wet.
- Refrigerate until set.
- Break apart and store in tightly covered container.
