Lemon Sorbet

Recipe from Southern Living June 1993

Yield: 4 cups

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Combine boiling water and sugar, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Let cool.
  3. Add lemon rind and juice.
  4. Pour mixture into a 9-inch square pan;
  5. Freeze until firm.
  6. Let mixture stand at room temperature 10 minutes before serving.
