Brownie Brickle Bars
Excellent Brownie recipe and very easy. Made these brownies:

Yield: 9 servings.
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of butter (no substitutes)
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup almond brickle pieces
- 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate pieces
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Grease an 8"x8"x2 baking pan.
- Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla.
- Using a wooden spoon, lightly beat the mixture just until combined - don't overheat or brownies will rise too high.
- Stir in the flour.
- Combine almond brickle pieces and semisweet chocolate pieces; reserve 1/4 cup of the mixture and set aside.
- Spread brownie batter in the prepared pan and sprinkle the brickle and chocolate piece mixture evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with reserved brickle and chocolate piece mixture.
