Brownies with Chocolate Icing

Yield:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups All Purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or almonds
  • 5 cups miniature marshmallows

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar and salt.
  3. Using a wooden spoon, stir in melted butter. Add eggs, vanilla, and nuts. Mix until combined. Do not over stir!
  4. Pour into greased, floured 9" x 13" baking pan.
  5. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350° F.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle top evenly with marshmallows then return to oven and bake about 6 minutes until marshmallows puff slightly and brown.
  7. Make Icing and frost brownies while they are warm.

Chocolate Icing Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted or softened
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk or can use regular milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Dash of salt
  1. Mix all together and frost brownies.
