Banana Bread

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2-3 mashed ripe bananas
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Grease and flour 8½" x 4½" loaf pan or 24 muffin tins.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon into a bowl.
- Stir in wheat germ.
- In another bowl, beat the butter with sugar.
- Add mashed bananas, eggs and vanilla and mix well.
- Add dry ingredients and blend.
- Add nuts.
- Spoon into loaf pan or muffin tins.
- Bake about 1 hour for loaf pan and about 20 - 25 minutes for muffin tins.
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes and cool on wire rack.
