Marinated Cheese
Recipe from Liz Tacik
Yield: 12 - 16 Appetizers
Ingredients:
- Marinade
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
- 3 TBSP or more of chopped fresh parsley
- 3 TBSP or more minced green onion
- 1 tsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-2oz jar diced pimiento, drained
- 1-8 oz package cream cheese
- 1-8 oz block cheese - can use cheddar cheese, white cheddar cheese, colby cheese
- Assorted crackers
Directions:
- Combine the ingredients for the marinade
- Cut the block of cheese in half lengthwise. Cut crosswise into 1/4 inch thick slices; Repeat the process for the cream cheese.
- Arrange the slices of cheese standing on edges alternating cheese and cream cheese in shallow dish.
- Pour marinade over cheese slices
- Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours
- Serve with assorted crackers
