Pear Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 6 large pears (about 2-1/2 pounds) peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ¼ cups (2 ½ sticks) melted butter

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Combine pears, water and lemon juice in an 8 by 8-inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, combine oats, flour, sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Pour in the melted butter and stir to make a crumbly mixture.
  5. Spread the topping evenly over the fruit.
  6. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until the topping is crisp and browned.
