Brownies with Chocolate Icing
Yield:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 2 cups All Purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- 4 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecans or almonds
- 5 cups miniature marshmallows
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar and salt.
- Using a wooden spoon, stir in melted butter. Add eggs, vanilla, and nuts. Mix until combined. Do not over stir!
- Pour into greased, floured 9" x 13" baking pan.
- Bake 20-25 minutes at 350° F.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle top evenly with marshmallows then return to oven and bake about 6 minutes until marshmallows puff slightly and brown.
- Make Icing and frost brownies while they are warm.
Chocolate Icing Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, melted or softened
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk or can use regular milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Dash of salt
- Mix all together and frost brownies.
